Skylite Skating Rink
Skylite Skating Rink was built in 1970 on Cajah Mountain Road. The Church’s had owned several skating rinks before, but wanted a new, up-to-date skating rink to offer their customers. Mrs. Church was the inspiration behind the skating rink; she just loved skating.
During the years since then, Jerry Church (son of Mrs. Church) and his wife, Linda Church, continued the tradition of a community skating rink. They loved working together and providing this resource to the children, and adults, in the small community of Hudson. In 2015, Jerry, after losing his wife, decided that it was time for him to retire. So, the rink sit dormant for about a year. But, the citizens of the community continued to contact him about re-opening the rink.
The current owners decided that Hudson did indeed need the skating rink to provide the children, and adults, with the opportunity to skate at Skylite Skating Rink in this small community again.
The rink has now been updated with new colors, a new cafe (the Skylite Snack Shack), a designated party room, and a small game room. And, of course, the skating surface is available offering many more hours of skating enjoyment.
Our mission is to provide a safe, clean, affordable, family-friendly entertainment venue for the children, and adults, in our community. We look forward to serving you at Skylite Skating Rink!
